Things I achieved the past year (2011)

2011 has been a tough year for me, a very tough year. But because I have an understanding that success is an ability to move from one failure to another without losing the enthusiasm, I went through the toughest year of my life.

I participated in a whole lot of programmes / projects. I volunteered in Space to Say school programme as a Young Client Guardians Coordinator, supervised the Expanded School Support Programme employees at Reagile Primary School, became a netball coach for Reagile Primary School and also assisted the school by giving computer lessons to educators and learners in the school's computer lab.

I also took part in a programme that takes place at the school's sports field after school as a sports facilitator, it's a football for hope programme. Because I put all my time, energy, determination and skills in everything I do, the school crowned me the best netball coach of the year and SpacetoSay rewarded me with a certificate for facilitating & implementingtheir programmes to Tembisa schools.

2011 has been the most fruitfull yeaer of my life. I made a huge difference to many lifes, especially my community. Most children from my community are computer litrate today because I taught them, children from my community and neighbouring townships are kept away from the streets by the sports programmes that I was part of the implementing team. Not to forget to mention the 16 learners who were voted 3-4 per school each school to represent their schools on SpacetoSay as Young Client Guardians.

They were given leadership trainings, had showcases created for them and I helped them work on their SpacetoSay showcases. I hope that someone somewhere will lend me an opportunity to make a difference to this world again this year.

2011 was an impressive year for you

Dear Glenda

I thought you made a big difference coordinating the 16 Young ClientGuardians in Tembisa during 2011.  You gave them computer training and made certain that the events took place on time.

Most importantly, you were always there as promised.  You never did not do as you said you would.

Well done.  Good things don't always come easy.  And 2011 seems to have been a tough year for you too.

I trust that 2012 will be a good year for you too.  I hope it will not be as tough as 2011.  Just remember that many things only happen because they were meant to happen that way - for a reason.

Kind regards,
